It's certainly been a pleasure bringing you all this manga that I've managed to churn out over the past 2 years. I have more I want to bring to you all, but I will be going on a year hiatus after I finish the last chapter of Kengai Princess, and hopefully the seventh chapter of Suijin no Ikenie to you all. I am still going to scanalate Suijin no Ikenie Ch. 7, BUT the series has been officially released in the US, and you can pick the first couple of volumes here. It's ONLY $7.40! Tripitaka Toriniku (c.1) Release!

Hello everyone! I actually started this project a loooooong time ago, and it's a really crappy low-key (but hopefully readable-enough until we get a more official release--I used the Chinese scans for a reason) translation of SUZUKI Julietta's (Kami-sama Hajimemashita!) new manga that I am so thrilled to finally get to read. Big kudos to C. (for making me realize I wasn't using proper names) and Last Heaven Fansub to get this out. I will most likely NOT continue this series, as I now know other more popular groups are planning to take it on. Sure is tempting, though. 

Its more official title is Tripitaka Toriniku, but it's also been translated as Tripitaka Torinique. I will be using the former.

Description (by me): Kaka, an unusually strong girl with a talent for combat, sees it has her duty to protect and assist her caretaker and master Genjou-sama, a kind but frail young priest who nearly died saving her from a tiger. When poisoned water threatens to destroy their village, Genjou-sama leaves for the capital to find a solution. In his absence, demons burn down their formerly peaceful village and transform the villagers placed under Kaka's care into monkeys.

Kaka flees in a desperate attempt to find Genjou-sama, only to find a haughty powerful spirit is now using his body as a vessel! She learns that the human Emperor has been secretly replaced by the evil Demon King, and that this spirit has come back for one simple purpose: to restore order. The contact he offers is simple. If she accompanies him on his journey to the capital and all goes according to plan, the spirit will give Genjou-sama back, relinquishing the priest's body and retrieving his soul from the underworld. Will Kaka take the risk?

I am so thrilled that so many people love this manga, but I have made up my mind to stop scanlating Suijin no Ikenie after volume two. It has been licensed by Viz (first volume to be released Spring 2017) in the US, where I’m based, and I want to support our homegrown manga releases as much as I can. I implore other scan groups to not continue this manga’s scanlation in English for at least a year after I finish my own work on the series. :)

Back in action, baby! I am soooo excited that a new chapter of Kengai Princess was finally released via Chinese scanalation. Hopefully their releases will pick up soon so I can finish the series. :) 

We witness one of my biggest guilty pleasures in shoujo manga, the defrosting the bad boy trope. Hurray, hurray, but kids, never get into a relationship with one thinking you can "fix" them. Ain't gonna end well. Find a nice boy who treats you right!

2. Kengai Princess releases is slow now because I use the Chinese scans and they are slowly released. If anyone has Japanese raws, please contact me! It ended recently at chapter 43, so only 8 more chapters to go. D:

3. Sujin and Kedamono are chugging along, work and school permitting. 

4. I will be doing the last two chapters of Boku wa ne. Hopefully it will be finished by the end of this summer.

Hello everyone! Thank you for sticking around with me thus far! I apologize for the lack of releases in April. 

Exams...my job...more exams...summer school...it never seems to end! I watch the unusable Kengai Princess new chapter raws parade on by...and the Chinese releases haven't progressed! Very frustrating. 

For this month, I plan to resume weekly releases very soon, probably starting next week. Stay tuned~

[NEW PROJECT] Suijin no Ikenie (c.1) and Fruits Basket Another (c.7.2) Releases!

I am excited to announce that I've picked up Toma Rei's Suijin no Ikenie (also known as Suijin no Hanayome) for English fan release! Seriously cute fantasy manga, highly recommend it.

Summary: The story of a girl who slips back in time to a different era. While playing in her family's garden, Asahi gets sucked in by the small pond and when she wakes up she finds herself in a place that seems like Japan from ancient times. A powerful clan takes her in, but the reason for their kindness is that they intend to sacrifice her to the water god, the dragon, to be his bride... Now that she is at the mercy of a god who appears to know no compassion, what will Asahi's fate be?
